PSS Asia in conjunction with our overseas partner, T.I.M.E. Service GmbH, from Germany, provides specialized manpower and equipment to implement Catalyst Handling in Process Plants. T.I.M.E. Service GmbH have designed and developed a ‘Made 4 Man’ Life Support System featuring continuous Video and Gas Analysis, recording and monitoring, which PSS Asia employs. Technicians are then required for inert entry during Catalyst loading and change over.

PSS Asia’s Technical Services Division has one of the world’s best Catalyst Handling Systems. We are able to deliver the Catalyst unloading and loading services required for Plant Shutdown within the restricted time frame, using world-class equipment.

4000 M3 / Hr Super Sucker Vacuum Unit With S.S Cooler For Nitrogen Recirculation (120 Hp Diesel Engine Driven).

Catalyst HandlingThis ultra power vacuum unit is specially designed to vacuum out pyrophoric catalyst with support materials from the reactor at any height. The cyclone hopper is designed to vacuum out & dump continuously with pulp valves operated by air cylinders and the S.S cooler fitted along the unit for the re-circulation of nitrogen to the reactor to avoid wastage.

The Catalyst is continuously loaded on the spot into completely airtight approved drums or bins.

‘Zero’ dust emissions and ‘Zero’ ground spillage. In fact the machine is so good in terms of dust control that although dust masks are used as a precautionary measure, in practice they are not actually necessary.

This multi-deck Vibro-screen Separator is specially designed to sieve Ceramic Balls and Un-regenerated / Regenerated Catalysts of various sizes. It makes precise mechanical separations according to particle size through efficient use of the multi-plane inertial vibration technique. This equipment is based on the principle of ‘Systematic Gyratory Movements’ of the particles on the Vibration Screen. Movements can be controlled in order to achieve efficient separation, depending on the characteristics of the materials being screened. This equipment is used in Refineries, Petrochemical Plants and Fertilizer Plants.

The material being screened is fed at the centre of the top screen. Oversize particles are moved by the multi-plane motion of the screen periphery where they are discharged through the discharge spout. Depending on client requirements, more than one screen can be assembled.

PSS Asia’s Drum Loader allows for the filling of drums in total containment with 'zero' dust emissions. This system eliminates any potential problems that may arise when humans handle full drums during palletisation.

The automatic Drum Feed loader is used when loading from drums into the vessel. This allows for smooth and consistent loading into the vessel, via the Hopper.

Life Support Equipment assembled with Communication and Breathing Air Cylinders

To ensure safety whilst working in an inert atmosphere, T.I.M.E. Service GmbH uses a specially developed Breathing Apparatus - the Life Support System (LSS). LSS is a pressurised system, equipped with an integral breathing helmet, redundant air supplies and a communication system, in order to ensure maximum safety for the user. Our Technicians are all specifically trained how to use the LSS whilst working in inert conditions and are also subject to medical examinations.

During the assignment, all functions are continuously checked by an experienced LSS Team Leader at the monitoring module while, for safety reasons, the technician performing the operation is watched by means of a video camera.

The Ultimate Life Support System - combining Helmet, ‘Quick Release’ Umbilical Cables, Communications Console, Command Console and a 10 minute Escape Set. Four 10 minute Escape Set Cylinders with gauges and reducers with pouches can also be attached at the Operator's preference. This system also features a Pneumatic Control Console GRP box with front and rear lift off covers as well as an internal Metal Frame Chassis, common Air Supply Line Pressure Gauge, Warning Whistle and a Commander Headset with speakers mounted in each ear and a Boom Microphone.

There is also a colour coded Pressure Reduced Supply Line, Pressure Gauges and Warning Whistles for each Airline in each Umbilical. Each operator is connected to the common Air Supply as well as an independent Colour-coded Air Supply. The console features two off CSI-2100 Communications Modules linked together by a CSI-2100 Expansion Cable mounted onto a GRP base. This console setup enables ‘intrinsically safe’ communications with independent volume control for up to eight operators. A vitally important feature of the Ultimate Life Support System is that it is totally explosion proof and comprises a Respiration Communication Monitor and an Alarm System.
